Along with many others my heart has been hurting over a Kauri tree called Awhiawhi on Paturoa Road, Titirangi.

You may have seen this in the news as Awhiawhi can now be felled as early as April 26th. I’ve also since heard that two other Kauris are also at threat on the public land by the roadside, as the developer wants to remove them both as well.

So I wanted to capture some small details from these two beautiful Kauri Trees by the roadside and share their beauty with Aotearoa.
